Skyware Global recently announced that it will serve as one of the launch partners for MSS operator Inmarsat. Skyware will manufacture land-based satellite terminals for Inmarsat’s Global Xpress service.

Skyware is one of the three manufacturing partners selected by Inmarsat to develop commercial land satellite VSAT terminals for the Global Xpress satellite broadband service. Skyware will design and manufacture satellite antenna with diameters ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters.

Inmarsat’s Global Xpress service is a Ka-band satellite network that will provide high data rate (HDR) bandwidth with high-speed uplink and downlink data rates to VSAT-equipped ground terminals and maritime vessels worldwide. It is set to roll out in 2014.
