KVH Industries is proud to announce that it has doubled the satellite capacity of its mini-VSAT Broadband network in the Caribbean region to deal with the increasing demand from its customer base there.
The Company is implementing upgrades throughout its global network of communications satellites. KVH has tapped ViaSat for Variable Coding, Spreading, and Modulation (VCSM) technology, which will permit the delivery of its satellite service throughout a network of antennas that are 85 percent smaller than competing models.
KVH is also improving its business model by accessing satellite capacity from the commercial FSS network. The leading companies of the industry extend their satellite services across the vast oceans of the world, which is perfect for KVH’s needs.
The mini-VSAT Broadband operated by KVH is a hybrid network with worldwide coverage over both the C-band and the Ku-band. It leverages capacity from 17 leased transponders across a network of 1 meter, dual-mode TracPhone V11 VSAT antenna designed by KVH.
KVH provides its customers in the Caribbean and other regions with a wide variety of satellite services such as satellite Internet connectivity and VoIP (Voice over IP) telephone.
